Bloglines Firefox Center

It’s no surprise that Firefox has been a big hit among bloggers: thebrowser is free, small, fast, open-source, standards-compliant, supportedby a large community, and nicely optimized for RSS discovery.

With the 1.0 release today, we think it is really going to take off, andthat’s why we’re announcing the Bloglines Firefox Center today.

Over the past few months, we’ve watched users steadily switch away fromNetscape and Internet Explorer to Firefox. Back in July, while Firefox wasstill in beta, it had grown to over 5% of our traffic. Today, Firefoxrepresents 20% of requests to Bloglines.

Perhaps the most exciting aspect of Firefox is its ease of extensibility. We regularly hear from developers writing programs on top of the BloglinesWeb Services and Notifier APIs, but the Firefox extensions are some of thebest and should really help regular consumers use RSS. To learn more, visit our Firefox Center and grab a copy of the browser and all thelatest extensions.
